Lieutenant Colonel Law assumed duties as the Commanding Officer, 1st Network Battalion on 24 June 2022
 
He commissioned through the Officer Candidate Course in December 2005 at the Officer Candidate School, Quantico, VA.
 
His commands include: Company A, 8th Communication Battalion and HQ Company, 8th Communication Battalion.
 
His staff assignments include: S-1 Adjutant, Marine Wing Communications Squadron 28 (MWCS-28), Sahl Sinjar Detachment Commander, MWCS-28 during OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, Warfighting Instructor and Staff Platoon Commander, The Basic School, Aide-de-Camp Commanding General II Marine Expeditionary Force / Commander, Marine Corps Forces Africa, Deputy N6 Expeditionary Communications, Expeditionary Strike Group TWO, Deputy N6/C5I Officer and communications planner Joint Force Maritime Component Command (JFMCC-Forward) Combined Task Force 189 in support of disaster relief operations in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico post-hurricanes IRMA and MARIA, C4 Plans Officer, Naval Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, and AC/S G-6, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing.
 
He holds a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College and Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and History, both from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA.
 
His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three gold stars), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
