Major Assignments/Professional Experience ​​​​​​​

Mr. Proudfoot assumed duties as the Technical Director, Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group, on April 8th, 2024.

Mr. Proudfoot enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in May 1995, completing recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego, California in August 1995. He proceeded to Marine Combat Training at the School of Infantry-West, Camp Pendleton, California. His subsequent assignment was as an Amphibious Assault Vehicle Crewman.

In June 1999, as a Sergeant, he reenlisted to be a Small Computer Systems Specialist following completion of the requisite course criteria at Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School (MCCES), Twenty-Nine Palms, California.

His enlisted assignments include: 3D Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force; 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit; 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit; and 8th Communication Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force. Mr. Proudfoot ended eight years of active duty service in March 2003.

His contracting assignments include: Network Engineer, Defense Logistics Agency; Deployed Support and Datacenter Integration Engineer, Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Center.

Mr. Proudfoot’s previous civilian assignments include: Lead Network Engineer and Chief Engineer, Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group.

Mr. Proudfoot holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Park University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

Mr. Proudfoot’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (one gold star), and the Civilian Service Commendation Medal.
